I just put on the steering lock, and the kickstand lock...which makes it awful to move. Also in Canada you have to register them, and I got my insurance from Kingsway (but it's expensive...so I'm switching out)

gingery....there isn't much to know! Smiley If you can balance (like sit on a chair with no back Smiley) and use cycle breaks (like on a bike) that's all there is to it! Cheesy

haha...oh DUHH!!

I found mine quite by accident, but I would say the most important things are

-automatic or standard
-how heavy is it? can you move it if it dies?
-size to your body....although you can adjust them if you need to (more $$ though)
-overall condition
-and of course $$$-  Smiley

Hope that helps a little?

She's not exactly crafty, but I've got to get her running before I even think about what I want her to look like. Due to lack of money (and soon bad weather),I have to wait until spring to work on her again.  Sad
Anyway, here she is:

I just bought a scooter a few weeks ago and am loving it!  It's a Kymco People scoot in powder blue and is gorgeous.  It's 10 miles to work, so I figured out that every day that I ride it I save an entire gallon of gas compared to driving my truck.  I haven't been able to ride it every day, though, since fall weather is a little bit hit and miss.  There have been a few mornings where I froze my a** off riding to work, but then the ride home in the afternoon was awesome.  I just found this thread again and am inspired to make my own seatcover now.  I'll post a pic of the scoot soon!

So here's the pic as promised.

I can buy a passenger seat for it, too, which I'll probably do soon.  It sure beats trying to find parking downtown when my hubby and I want to go out.

you know, i could probably make my payments if i just charged people 4 dollars every time they wanted to ride mine... lucky for them, i'm a nice guy.

Mine is bright yellow, but i think he needs to be painted kinda crazy....
