DD had a Princesses and Heroes third birthday party to go to. Wonder Woman is a princess AND a hero (and she loves watching reruns of the old TV series) so seemed like a natural option.

I made this out of plain cotton jersey T-shirting. The skirt is a circle skirt with a waistband made from gold foiled jersey; there are matching shorts underneath for those twirly-skirt moments. The top I cut a bit on the large side (well, technically I first cut it a bit on the small side and then I overcompensated) which will at least [insert desperate justification] give her some growing room. The gold on the front is machine appliquéd on, while the white stars are just attached with fusible bonding at the moment; I'm going to see how they stand up to laundry (I figure it's a costume, it may not need washing that often, maybe...) as they look better without being stitched on.

She's adorable. The costume is too. A princess and hero party sounds like fun.
