For this new vest design I was inspired by Jan's Sirdar vintage waistcoat:
www.flickr.com/photos/55069560@N00/5606333142/in/photostream.
When I told her that I was in love with it, she sent me an email with the pattern and a lot of detailed pictures (since she knows I can't read patterns)! Amazing crazy lady! @;)
First I made the original one, but I wasn't happy about the result... Maybe I fed up with spiderwebs (it's impossible!) or maybe the lot of mandala tea I'm drinking nowdays has taken my mind... I felt the need to modify the center!
I'm in love with flower doilies and found on etsy the perfect one:

Yes, I changed a little bit the doily too! And I couldn't resist to add my "famous" tulle ribbons! XD

The colours are the first thing that make me go I love it, then the shape and then the fact that you tweaked all kind of things to make it personal.

Thank You! I'm working right now on the other elements (water, earth, air and the quintessence: aether)...  Wink

Very lovely- truly amazing colors! I had decided to put my crochet needles very far away, but now I'm not so sure... Grin
