This might be a little naughty - it is a completed project, heavily related to needlework, but it's not actual needlework, if you feel it's bending the rules too far kittykill I'm happy to remove/move it.

As part of the Star Wars OTT Swap I recently sent this out:

I liked it so much I made one for myself!!

It is, of course, a circular travel embroidery hoop case, with pocket and built in needlebook for supplies. I've roadtested it and it's really handy for taking to any public place and getting your stitch on, I <3 it!!

I've posted more about it, including a tutorial over at my blog

I thought it was going to be really difficult to make something circular, but it really wasn't that hard  Cheesy Cheesy

anyhow, hope you like it!

That is so cool!  And looks very handy too, I love the picture on the front, and I'm sure your swap partner went nuts for it!

Thank you!! I've mastered crochet in public, but I don't like throwing all my embroidery supplies in a little bag because they can fall out so easily. What a great solution!

Grin Grin Grin yes, my plastic resealable bag had outlived its usefulness haha things like scissors are sharp too, so they poke through plastic bags right? and what if you want to work on something NSFW while waiting in the maternity wing of the hospital... you need something that's not see through to hold your stuff... not that that's something I've done or anything...

I was the recipient and I've gotta say...I love it! I took it out for the first time fully packed with a project and it was perfect.

There were quite a few jealous mothers at preschool pickup. : Grin Tongue Grin
