May I introduce you to Pippin bear Smiley I  made this for my fiance who' about to spend 3+ weeks in hospital to take in with him. I used a pattern by Jean Greenhowe in her 'Traditonal favourites' booklet - but didn't want a yellow bear - so altered the wool and consequently the needle size - I loved the wool I used!

What a snuggly bear!  He looks like the perfect companion for recovering at the hospital Smiley

He's so cute! The colours of the wool almost give him an "already broken-in" look.

Pippin is lovely and far more like a real bear colour.
The wool looks really soft. Is it alpaca?

Pippin is so cheery looking  that he will be a great hospital companion.

A few months ago, I knit a bear for a clinic - so the patients could have something to hold onto while they received their news (whether that was good or bad).
Shame I didn't have the pattern for Pippin - he looks much more friendly than my knitted bear did.

Wishing your Chris a speedy and painless recovery.
