I'm very into handmade gifts this year, in fact purchased gifts so far have been very minimal and most have even been done on time! Except these  Tongue

Made for my crazy punk/steampunk friend out of my own rather twisted imagination.

I should be able to give them to her this Sunday, hopefully she likes them  Cheesy

Thanks for looking! C & C always welcome

Your friend is gonna love them - it's a great choice of yarn and I like the way they fit at the fingers & thumbs

It's pretty simple.
I used a 3.5mm hook and vannas choice glamour yarn.
Made a ribbed band using half doubles in the back loop (mine was 6 stitches wide) till it fit snug just below my elbow.
Single crochet the ends of the band together then single crochet around the top of the band (technically you should probably have a multiple of 5 stitches around, but I just winged it)
Then it's just the lovers knot stitch done in spirals, attach them every 5sc. There are some good tutorials out for the lovers knot already, check YouTube.
At about midway up the forearm i did a half of a lovers knot (instead of a whole one) to fit it a little don't know if it's entirely necessary? It leaves a little larger hole but I didn't want them to be baggy at the top.
Where I wanted the thumbhole I made 2 sets of the lovers knots without attaching and skipped one attaching point then continued around. Made one more complete pass around the started attaching the two sides of the hand to each other also using the lovers knot...that part didn't come out the same way twice!

Hope that helps! If you make 'em I'd love to see!

Belated comment! I just started learning to crochet and came to Craftster looking for exactly this sort of thing. Thanks for the inspiration!
