I've been busy in the kitchen...

Oh boy I have missed Craftster!
These things called babies keep dragging me away 
I have been coerced into moving by my dear husband but sadly doing so I have no craft area at all anymore
All I could bring with me was a tiny box of embroidery stuff but even that I haven't had time to touch.
So anyway, my artistic side is now further unleashed in the kitchen......
Recently I made this cake for my daughter's 2nd birthday....

And some cookies...

I made a key lime pie for the first time and it was amazing!

Another experiment was profiteroles.. I have tried and failed before but this time they were a huge success

Mmmm I love to bake bready things like these pesto & cheese scrolls


So that's just a few of the so many things I have made over my break from Craftster... Though I have managed to keep up blogging, somehow!

Baking is such a great way to express yourself when you don't have another craft area. I love the cake and the scrolls look so yummy. Did you use those flake chocolate bars for the fence posts?

I sure did! It got very messy though as some were already broken and crumbly. But worth it anyway, I love flakes

I found a set of all numbers cookie cutters on eBay so my plan is cookies every year! Not quite sure how I'll decorate them though.
And silly me accidentally made 4x the recipe not 2 so we ended up sending everyone home with huge chunks of cake and cookies!
