That's it! STUFFY"S!!!!! mmmmmmmmmmmmm My freezer was packed with Hatches when I lived there. That's the one main thing I miss from NM. I don't remember the other place you mentioned. Where was that? It's been about 16-17 years ago since I lived there. I used to waitress at the Sundance Saloon. I used to live up by there. I also miss the natural history museum. I used to take my daughter there on the weekends because we could get in for free and it was something nice to do. We couldn't afford to do a whole lot, single mom and kid so cheap was in the budget. Christmas time downtown was neat too with all the luminaria.. so beautiful.

Virgen de Guadalupe candle with added sparkle. She had mentioned that she liked iconography.


Figurine - this was one of those wedding ones that I kind of had my way with. It was the first one I had ever done & I wasn't happy with the way the face turned out.  


Bracelet - deconstructed and reconstructed to be much nicer.


My poor attempt at a shrine. ha ha This was actually the second one I did as the first suffered a horrible fate. The sacred heart & skull are poly clay made by moi. The other items are actually jewelry bits. I also used entirely too much glitter paint.


 

Then there were these Virgen de Guadelupe dish towels.
 

I neglected to take a picture of it, but I also included a small packet of Mexican hot cocoa.

i received my package last week, but the lovely missbarbara has asked me to post both of our packages so i left you in suspense until i sent mine out. and here they are!
From her i got some of the coolest stuff!!


there's a hand painted picture frame, tote bag, treasure box, flower pens, and a photo album! there was also the awesome crochet skull decorations too! those are my favorite. thank you so much miss barbara!

There are SO many lovely goodies here, I am in complete awe!

I received my package from Kristl yesterday and it was full of Day of the Dead awesomeness.

First, a bag of handmade/hand-decorated themed beads. Jewelry-making is one of my favorite crafty hobbies and I know I'll make good use of these.



Next, an AMAZING shrine with painted skulls and flowers, handmade clay candles and pots of roses and two decorated crows/ravens at the very top. The details are just fantastic!



And finally, my favorite - a hand sewn skeleton stuffie. It's so fun and cute and intricate! I really love it. <3
