My friend asked me to make a couple of beanies for her and offered to make a shirt/hoodie and a pair of shorts in exchange. Kuro has needed some new clothes for such a long time! This took a while, Most patterns I could find were for the Tiny models or for SD, or for knitting.. Ended up going along with a magic circle and increasing constantly until it fit him. She has the same size dolls as Kuro is so it was easy enough. I may have to make him one too! I wrote the pattern I made along down so the second will be much easier also if I decide to make him some. I made it loose enough to go over his wig easily without messing it up, I think it looks nice.

{Pattern}
Beanie with stripe on bottom

Hook - F/5 (3.75)
Yarn - Worsted 9wpi (Regular Walmart bought yarn is what I used)

6st magic ring

R1 - {2sc} around (12sts)
R2 - {2sc, 1sc} around (18sts)
R3 - {2sc, 1sc in next 2} around (24sts)
R4 - {2sc, 1sc in next 3} around (30sts)
R5 - {2sc, 1sc in next 4} around (36sts)
R6 - {2sc, 1sc in next 5} around (42sts)
R7 - {2sc, 1sc in next 6} around (48sts)
R8 - {2sc, 1sc in next 23} around (50sts)
R9-10 - sc around (50sts each)
R11 - SC around, end in slipstitch (50sts)
R12 - Change color, sc around (50sts)

Repeat Round 12 until you have the desired length, finish off and weave in ends.

The hat looks good! What size yarn and hook did you use? I've not made anything for my dolls yet because I've been having trouble finding small enough hooks/needles.

Actually that's the beauty of it! I used a size F/5 (3.75mm) hook and "regular" yarn for it. Caron Simply Soft. By regular I mean just the kind you see hanging around Walmart and such. I'm not knowledgeable about yarn types but I believe it was worsted yarn.

I have trouble finding patterns that don't require you to use a tiny yarn and like 3strands of sewing thread wrapped around itself x_x, and most were for girl dresses and things.

Edit: I just tested the pattern I wrote with the second cap, looks the same, so posting pattern above so nobody else has to share my frustration when trying to alter a human sized pattern. I am not good with numbers, shrinking, ect.
