I reconstructed this t-shirt into a ruffled shrug!

It could be a bed jacket, too. Does anybody wear bed jackets anymore?

Nicely done!  It looks good. ... I haven't heard anyone even say "bed jacket" since I was a little girl!   Cheesy

I love this!  A great way to reuse a t-shirt.  Thanks for the post!

Thanks! I used the tutorial I found here: http://www.craftstylish.com/item/39771/how-to-restyle-a-t-shirt-into-a-ruffly-cardigan and she mentioned that it was a vintage bed jacket-inspired cardigan. I think I might try wearing it as such next winter!

Very cute, I wear bed jackets, I know Im beyond strange but keep my house rather cold in the winter and cant stand wearing long sleeves to bed so I wear jackets around the house.

Yay! Somebody DOES wear bed jackets! I'll probably use mine this winter. Texas doesn't get as cold as more northern climes, but  it's cold enough. And we keep our house kinda cool, too. No central, so we use electric heaters or wood heat.

I really like that style! I'm a shrug/cardigan wearer year-round since a/c + bare arms makes me too cold. Also, I wear bed jackets too, for the same reasons ya'll stated: we keep it chilly in our house! I haven't heard anyone say "bed jacket" in ages though.  Cheesy

I've become addicted to this tute! I have made a few for myself and friends. Can't wait for 3/4 sleeve cheap T-shirts to show up in stores again, since I do prefer slightly longer sleeves.
Quick tip: I usually wear 18/20 tops (snug) or 22/24 (loose, sometimes just right). I started making mine with size 30/32 tops, and they were large enough to share with my BFF, who wears size 28. So, there's a lot of flexibility in size ranges, but it's probably safe to use a size just one up from your usual. The length seems to be the real determining factor, since you want at least 6 inches to cut off from the bottom. HTH!
