I made my first pair of baby sneakers a few weeks ago and I still just can't get over how amazingly cute they are.  I get all silly and childish when I look at them.

the first pair I made for a friend who is having her first baby soon and I wanted her to have something special for her little guy.  since then I just can't stop making them.

So Cute!. I love little tiny shoes. These are perfect because they have all the cuteness of tiny sneakers, but they are a soft knit, which is better for baby's feet then real shoes.  Just perfect.

These are adorable. I wish I'd been able to make something like these for my nephew. My sister would have thought they were brilliant.

Those are adorable!!!  When my 21 year old son was a new born, he won a pair of baby sized Nike runners from a local radio station and your sneakers remind me of them so much.

Cute, aren't they? Yours have come out so well! I can see why you can't stop making them. Ever since I found this pattern on Ravelry I haven't had an occasion to make them, but they are definitely still on my to-do list!

Kristel1978 - put those baby shoes on the top of your que.  you'll be addicted in no time.  I did look at that pattern that was on Ravelry but being unable to read portuguese I had to wing it and write it down as I went along.  it was quite a process Smiley

I just thought of an occasion for you... you know how some people have fuzzy dice on their rear view mirror... substitute with adorable sneakers

slothmuffin - I'm the same way, but there is something about these shoes that's got me all goofy.  my husband is getting kind of sick me acting like this

I made these sneakers and there's no baby in sight!  They are too cute.

I used the pattern on youtube. She goes through the pattern and crochet it step by step.

I have to finish the letters of my daughter's name first, but there are several colours of acrylic and white acrylic in my stash, so I might take you up on that idea.  Wink I found an English version on Ravelry... my Portugese is a little rusty too  Grin It's this one: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/crochet-baby-converse

Oh my goodness. I might have to make a pair of these for my nephew... Do you have a pattern for it by chance? How long did they take you?

What I Do: Crochet, sculpt, sew (not very well), beading, paint, draw cute things. ^_^

What I Can't Do: Knit (tried it, I threw the needles >.>), anything to do with glass, glass making, handling glass, etc.

it takes me a few hours of uninterrupted work.
I did write up a pattern and have it in my shop, however, I guess I wasted my time writing down my process because Ravelry and youtube have free patterns and tutorial videos

they are adorable shoes.  I love to make them and I have a friend who wants me to make some for her to give to her friends.  I'll probably make them for years and years and my future grandchildren will never have cold toes

If memory serves me right, the original pattern was an Annies Attic, which included skates, Mary Janes, cowboy boots, and more. I first made the Mary Janes and shoe skates for my niece some 32 yrs ago. I also ended up making the others since they were so darn cute.
