Today I had an idea what you can sew from fabric remnants:
A trashy bracelet! It's quick, and fun.  Cheesy

OK, here goes:

- a piece of rubber band
- Remnants of fabric
- a fabric pinking shears
- some buttons
- Sewing Machines

Measure a piece of rubber band, so it fits around the wrist. (Not too close!)

Cut out fabric scraps with the pinking shears. It can vary in length and width because it is a trashy band, so you must not be so accurate.

Put the first strip on the rubber band and sew. Keeping the rubber band under tension.

Overlap another stripe and sew, and another, and another...

Then put a few strips back and forth about it and sew.

Spread buttons on the bracelet and sew.

Sew the bracelet at the ends together.
(Before that time consider whether it also is in place.)

Done!  Grin

CC welcome!

This is really cute!  I have TONS of scraps and little bits of elastic, too Smiley  Thank you for the tutorial as well, I'm going to try this out when I get a few spare moments...eventually Cheesy
