Package #2 Received from thisbirdsabsurd

You're welcome a million, thisbirdsabsurd!  Speaking of... I received my second package from her as well, and holy crap!  I am seriously in love with her art dolls and, as sheepishly as a shepherdess could, asked if she'd mind sending me a something for me to follow so I can make my own.  I not only got a pattern but an entire DIY kit!  It included her hand drawn pattern on heavy paper, cute fabric, an embroidery hoop (Would you believe my first? I will NOT be afraid!), embroidery thread and needles, and coordinating ribbon.  I can't wait to get started, I think everyone in my family is getting an art doll for Christmas this year.  LOL!


Some charms to embellish her, I love these!  


This cutie is going to be my salt cellar.  I immediately dumped the contents of my old cracked salt cellar into this little piggy.  Isn't he awesome?


I should have used something for scale, but this hand painted box couldn't hold more than a cup of beans, if that.  It's painted with a tiny primitive scene that represents our homestead.  A weeping willow tree, farmhouse, sheep and working border collie.  I'm in awe of her painting skills.  So tiny and beautiful!


But wait, there's more!  Check out the adorable felted lamb inside.  It's got a little heart hanging from it's collar!  Such great needlefelting skills!  I told thisbirdsabsurd from the start that I want to be her when I grow up and this is a perfect example.  


Here's another. O.M.G.  Can you believe someone would make this and put it in a box?  I know I'd have a hard time doing it!  The best part is the fabric selections.  All animals and bees and a sample of the butterfly fabric I sent her in box #1.  Love love LOVE it!

And inside are some recipe cards tucked in.  Maybe I'll make this a recipe book!  Whatever I decide to do with it, it will be treasured always.  Thank you so much, Jen.  You really are a talented, wonderful person!

I received package 2 from my partner today!!!!  yay!
I got a polymer clay kit and some supplies!!!  I'm really excited about the polymer clay.  Just finished making two owls from it!  One is to the instructions and the other is my own just playing around.  I plan to make another too!  The ATC blanks are really cool!!!!

First up are two journals with covers, I love them!  The smaller, darker purple one is my favorite!

Then a set of fabric gift bags - so cute!  They were all full of fun too!
First - watermelon bag with candle, lipbalm and samples from Avon!


Second - plaid bag with tons of beading supplies


Third - tiger bag with Sour Patch kids candy, Betty Boop tin with Betty Boop playing cards and a lovely necklace!


Fourth - ladybug bag with more beading supplies!


Fifth - flowered bag with beading supplies and findings!


Sixth - Christmas bag with a handmade ornament (love ornaments!!), pretty pens (I collect pens) and little animals for my desk - I keep a menagerie on my desk, the college students like to play with them while they talk to me.


Thanks Mandy!  That box was super heavy, I was worried about what was in it!lol

PACKAGE #2

I rec'd a WONDERFUL package 2 from the lovely Faux Valentine!!
She sent such a rad collection, but some of my photos kinda suck grrrr.

Here is the whole lot of awesome:


Now let me give you the rundown of awesomeness....
I got a beautiful hoop (more about her later), some cookie cutters and an ice mold RIGHT OFF MY WIST/Pintrest!! (more about them later too!) A tabbed cookbook with some recipes in it and more space so I can add to it! Best part - has an index. I couldn't get an interesting picture of it to do it justice, but it must have taken forever to hand number all the pages and make the index and write all the awesome recipes in!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE cooking and this was the perfect DIY kit for me!! I also got some cupcake mints which I will inevitably be sharing with my nephew. He LOVEs mints. Every time he sees me with my purse he asks "Aisa - nint??" I am really bad at saying no We always have fresh breath when we hang out! (he's only two ). The little yellow ball is a bumble bee reusable shopping bag. It is so perfect! I can actually fit it in my handbag and remember to take it to the store with me! I love reusable bags, but I always for get to grab them! Also included is some quilt batting. I have so many smaller projects that I want to make quilt-wise and never have the batting for it, so this is SUPER handy!!

A BEAUTIFUL sugar skull embroidery. I am JUST teaching myself embroidery. This blows me away. And she is so perfect!!


The AWESOME ninja cookie cutters. I think I wisted it off this swap. How awesome is Sam! Now for an excuse to make ninjas.....


And floating brains. I think every drink needs brains And I love Ice. Perfect harmony Though using it as a soap mold is really tempting!!


Best part of the ice - I now have skulls and brain ice. Now all I need are either femur Ice or anatomical heart ice and my life is complete and my friends are thoroughly grossed out

So, I wanted to post this here since it is the result of a kit I received.  Unfortunately, the owl I made from the kit was taken by my cousin, so that she wouldn't take this one, but this one was made since I apparently now love polymer clay.  LOL.



It's HEDWIG!  ^_^
