oooh exciting... I'm trying to grow a dye garden this year, but we'll see how that goes... my thumb is blacker then the dirt I have to plant in!!

What is a 'dye' garden?  I mean, I think I might have the general idea, but what kinds of flowers or plants would be in it?

There are loads of dye plants, like marigold, sunflowers, indigo, black eyed susan, Dahlia  etc....  There are a lot of plants that have good pigments.   What exactly i'll be planting all depends on the zone... we are all the way up in zone 2/3....

Absolutely!  Mine is in full gear, I picked a huge bowl of tomatoes and cucumbers just off of the containers on my back deck this morning.  Woo hoo!
