A NEW day, a NEW doll... another poppet!

Introducing poppet #5, made special for my Plethora of Poppets Swap partner, Squire_Inaria. My partner's themes included masquerade ball and celestial, so I merged the two and came up with Celestine in a Celestial Masquerade Ball Gown.

Just a bit image heavy....

And some little details...

Thank you for looking, questions and comments always appreciated.
As always, here is the link to the Ongoing Poppet/Punkin-Along.  Thank you ghilie for posting the pattern and getting us all started, and thank you for the tutorials from AlwaysInspired and craftewoman.

You can visit my blog for more details - hoping to post details after this week because I'm mired in finals. Cheesy
I was able to blog a bit on her hair details. Let me know if there's something else you'd like me to elaborate on.

She's gorgeous! I love the details of her costume - it looks like the night sky with little gleams of light amongst shades of black. And her mask! Shocked That is a tiny work of art! Fabulous work, Puamelia!

one question, is the mask a mix of commercial lace and needle lace work?  She is absolutely gorgeous, and all kinds of wonderful!

Inez you honor me, I've always loved your fine work!

is the mask a mix of commercial lace and needle lace work?

~Belladune, the commercial lace was cut to fit around the wire base, then stitched by hand with Coats button carpet & craft thread -dual duty plus.  It's thick so it matches the width of the thinnest threads of the lace.

~Mele, her hair is my new-found obsession. It is wool locks, needle-felted into a sort-of cap placed on her head. The sheep was a wensleydale and it it the full length lock. I ended up not sewing it down because it felt pretty stuck when I tugged on each lock.

~Squire I'm really glad you like her. I'm glad she's done tho cuz I'm ready for a little break spinning the other fibers I got, then it's on to the next one!
