I made this afghan a couple years ago. I wanted it big enough to cover my bed (california king ^_^) and as many different colors as I could get. I decided on your basic array of all colors, and then in trying to decide on the best color placement, decided the only way to evenly spread out the colors was to do them like a sudoku. That's right, I took my most recent sudoku, assigned each number a color and got to crocheting. I used your basic granny square cause I was new at this whole thing (didn't even know there were other types of squares, this of course was my pre-craftster days Tongue)

as you can see from the picture, not only was it 4:30 in the morning (tee hee, night owl) but it is large enough to cover my california king bed. and i loves it! ^_^

Wow! Thanks everyone! I've never had so many comments before! I'm glad you all love it as much as I do! ^_^

I love it! I adore multicoloured squares and these are just wonderful together.

The bad news: There is no key to happiness.
The good news: It isn't locked.

It looks great! I may steal your sudoku idea for laying out a granny square blanket one of these days... Cheesy

I like the color combination- and the sudoku style of color placement!

I dream of a house covered with your art, and would love a personal swap. Pm me if you'd like to spread the crafty love! I also need blue fabric scraps for a scrap quilt!
