I bought the tutorial from theringlord.com . . .  and they turned out quite impressive and oh so stunning! If you know helm/parallel chain you would have no problem making your own!!!
Note that they are the BIGGEST pain though to actually get in the skirts the way you want them :S . . . they look great closed in the lotus position or opened!

unfortunately, the black ones are not anodized on the inside

I love 'em!!

Wow, those are stunning. I especially love the two toned ones. I may just have to look up the tutorial.

I love these! They look so simple (though I'm sure they weren't) and absolutely beautiful! Going to have to check out that tutorial and learn how to chain (is that what you call it?).

These are terrific! I can't let myself take on another craft though, no matter how tempted I am!

These are so pretty! I can't imagine how long they must have taken to make... but the effort was certainly worth it!

thank you all for the comments! The rings are stainless so it took a while longer just for that reason since I am used to working with aluminum.

chain, maille, chain maille . . . . it's all the same Smiley Here's a link to the ring lord's PDF's if you want to check it out . . . 5.25US for a tutorial is pretty reasonable!
