Oh I'd love one of these! I'd pin places with French knots and it would be wondeful (I just know it ha ha  Cheesy)

I got my fabric today! Woo, can't wait to make this into something fun for the kids. Just have to find some cool world embroidery patterns so we can personalize it with some stitchery Smiley.

I have a map in the cupboard waiting to be sewn up for my girls. I even have the backing fabric and wadding ready!

I also did one for a friends son for his Christmas, He is very happy with it. I wasn't keen on that map as it was Australian centred and growing up in the uk with maps that are gmt centered it was very wierd to look at. The one in the cupboard is the traditional GMT centred!

I really love the embroidery you have done, makes a simple panel very unique. I also like the idea of sewing the beads on to keep track of the places that he has visited. Might have to steal that one once I get time to do the one for my girls.

I would love to find a piece of map fabric centred the opposite way to back the quilt with, that would be really neat! Do you happen to remember where you got it? We never see the world that way but it's great for perception...

How clever! I have a bunch of the same fabric panels- the intention was to make curtains for my sons' rooms- but this is a much better idea!
