This is Macy! She's made out of fleece and has yarn hair. She's about 15" tall.

I'm not quite sure if I should call her a rag doll, because she has jointed arms, but she's not quite in the realm of waldorf dolls.

I've been playing around with different fabrics and have found that fleece works best with her pattern. I sort of drive myself crazy with the need to make a more 3D doll, and am constantly looking for ways to improve my pattern making. I still really need to work on clothes. Cheesy

Hope you like her! <3

I do like her!  She looks like a doll a little girl can hug and cuddle, without being frightened of!  So many of the hand made dolls I see on here nowadays are actually ugly and intended to be scarey!  I especially like the way you did her hair, too.  She is a good pattern.  Maybe you will share the pattern on here?

She's very cute!!
It's a great pattern, too.  I've been looking everywhere for something like this.
If you were willing to share the pattern, that would be awesome.

Would you also explain how you did her hair?  It's so cute.  Mine just turn out floppy and weird looking.

Thanks guys! I would share the pattern, but there's still some major construction kinks to be worked out. :/

Thanks! For the hair, I used this tutorial http://www.flickr.com/photos/29184580@N04/sets/72157619529864003/with/3617446921/ The peppy ness of her hair might have to do with the type of yarn used. I used Sugar n' Cream yarn, which is a bit stiff. I also used little plastic hair ties to secure her pigtails. Smiley Hope that helped!

She is too cute Smiley  I for one love her clothes.  That top is adorable and fleece is such a good idea to use for her body.  I can see a little girl cuddling up to Macy. Smiley

Really beautiful---perfectly simple and sweet.  She looks so friendly somehow, and I think the combination of fleece and pattern really does work well.  And I love her hair and outfit, too.  (I totally want a non-doll size version of that top.  Great fabric.)
