I'm so excited about this one! It's my first dress; after practicing on bags and wallets, I now move on to clothing!
I made this for my trip to Cuba and here are photos in the field  Wink

Close up of bust

Back (hugging a palm tree, YAY!)

I used a pattern and tutorial from Burda to make the bust. I did however have to adjust it quite a bit (the pattern being made for much bustier girls)

The skirt is sewn from six trapezoid pieces. I didn't make an underskirt (although I might add it later) because I was pressed for time and a little tired of it.

Next time (and I will make another dress like it!) I will make sure to use stretchable fabric because even though the dress fits me perfectly, it makes the breathing process a little difficult (oh well, one will always suffer for beauty!). I think I would also like to make the skirt wider.

Critiques/comments always welcome =)

The early bird may get the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese. . . . I would rather have cheese.
