Rainbow spiderweb crochet with the blending technique. Yes, I know, I'm boring!  Wink But how can I stop to make it if it looks like this?!  Grin
"Numerology":
13 colours, 39 colour combinations, 247 circles sewn together around the tree with rainbow tulle, 3 months for crochet, 3 days for install.
I wanted to crochet a tree since the first time I've seen this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/woolly_fabulous/3711616298/in/set-72157622580749702.
After some years I've found the perfect motif: http://www.etsy.com/listing/56220207/duplet-special-xl-release-seaside-disco.
And then all I had to do was waiting for the best moment, finding the perfect tree and working!  Wink
I hope You like it!

For more pics and the whole story of the project please take a look here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/babukatorium/sets/72157626349635959/with/5692880877/.

I'm glad for Your comments!  Kiss

that is dedication!  I love it!!  will it eventually harm the tree, or will you take it down after a while?

OMG, check that out!!!!!  That is so cool!  I'm clicking the rocks button for the first time in forever...
 I don't think the rainbow spiderweb crochet blending technique is not boring at all.  How could something like that get boring?  .....That is the 'perfect' tree, too.  I'm going to have to go read the story behind the project.  Great work...., so unexpected.

I hope it won't create any problems for the tree, and will check it often. I don't know for how many times it could stay, if the weather will ruin it soon, or the city will ask me to take it down... This is my first time. We'll see!

I'm speechless... Your first "rocks button" and You've decided to give it to me...! I'm really touched! Thank You very much! I said that I'm boring, because many times I used rainbow spiderweb for different projects (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=374468.0) and use even more times the blending technique (http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=375554.0 and http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=373284.0). I have no immagination!  Wink

Oh my goodness, this is AWESOME!  Talk about tree-hugging, this is something completely different!  It looks amazing, and I have tried and failed to be motivated enough to complete even an inch of crochet, so I can't imagine the work that went into this!  THIS ROCKS!
