I made this dress for a couple in my church for their first baby. I'm giving it to her at the baby shower. It's a vintage repro, Simp 2392. It's mint green satin dress with organza overlay on the skirt (Sew Classic fabrics from Joanns). It has piping, ruffled sleeves, and hand embroidery on the yoke, pockets, sleeves, and matching satin bonnet.

Sorry that I don't have any better pictures.

it is beautiful!  and all the work that went into that...what a lucky couple and baby.  Smiley  i have that pattern (but the original from my grandma) and have used it, only without piping and the embroidery because i am lazy.  but all those little touches make it so precious!!

Inspiration without application is moot.

Thanks, everyone. I'm proud of it. It's the first time I'd ever made anything that small!
