I'm always afraid while I'm writing this post someone else will post a FF thread as well!
I was on a roll this week, or would that be more appropriately a "spin?"

Diamond Batt from Knit.etsy.com. Decided to go with singles. A little overspun, but I think they will work up nice.

Next up, more blue and white self striping from Sheep Shed. I need to buy more from there but how much is always so hard to figure for me.

Then I spun up some cocoons because I of an article in the new Spin-Off mag. I haven't photoed it yet because I need to set the twist and hang it with some weights first. Again, though, my singles are way overspun. I'm just so used to spinning for plying!

And finally, I got my 11 braids and batt this week including my black roving so I could finally play up that batt I have had on my spindle for almost 2 months:

And just for Nikschaf, a photo of it with the rest of the batt that I plied with the yellow thread. I think I might take out the thread, spin more black, and ply it to be like the one I did this week. Opinions?

Holy crap! I KNEW it was Thursday! That's what happens when you wake up 3 hours early, eh? Oh well, we can carry over into tomorrow.

So how does this Fiber Friday thing work? Do you post what you've spun during the week? Or just during Friday? (Thursday in this case, tee hee)

Okeydokey, I can do that! Fun to do a recap once a week. Smiley
This week's spinning got it's own thread though, I haven't managed anything more after those 545 yards of fingering 3-ply, ha!

Those are great yarns! Have you spun on a drop spindle before? Which one did you like better, merino or Shetland?
