3-ply combo yarn - Treasured Jam

Hello spinners! My name is Moa, I'm 30 years old and I live in Sweden.

I've been a Craftster member forever, but I've never done any crafts worth posting here. Now I do though, so I thought it was time to give back after all my lurking! I bought a wheel (Kromski Minstrel) and taught myself how to spin a little over a year ago.

This yarn is a combo of three different combed tops, I adore spinning this way.
One ply Spunky Eclectic BFL/silk, one ply Southern Cross Fibre Shetland and one ply Southern Cross Fibre/Hello Yarn collaboration Polwarth. Plying different colourways together increases the spinning excitement TENFOLD! Plus, you start viewing your stash in a whole different way...:)

I spun the BFL/silk as it was, no splitting. The Shetland I split into three parts, lengthwise. I removed some light blue and green from the Polwarth, I thought it would look better that way and I think I was right. Then I split it into four parts and spun away.

I ended up with 6.6 oz and 545 yards of 3-ply fingering YUMMINESS! I love the slight sheen from the silk and how the colours lined up so dang awesomely. I'm gonna have to use this one for something else than socks, perhaps legwarmers or an eternity cowl.

IdlersDesign: The yarn is too pretty to be walked on, ie I won't be knitting socks as I first planned. I'm thinking leg warmers or an eternity cowl.
