a mohair tube scarf, inspired by Leigh radford's "Alterknits",
that i knitted for my mother.
the fabric inside is a bed sheet
from montgomery ward. which i cut down and hemmed.
(my grandmother used to work there).

i used three balls of rowan kidsilk haze in a discounted color, and casted on an obscene amount of stitches.
it took forever.

i like your combination - the fabric reminds me of my grandma's house in vancouver. it's a little hard to see the knitted part, but i like what i can see!

I love it here at the ice cream shop. In fact, this is gonna be my happy place. If I ever get molested or raped, this is the place I'm gonna think of to make everything all right Stewie Griffin

Very nice! I'm sure your mom will love it! Smiley On an off topic side note, what do you do to make your photographs look like they were drawn?? It is very intriguing! (Unless it is a top-secret artist thing.  In that case, no worries!) Smiley

I really love the texture this has, but I'm just impressed you finished any mohair-y project.  Mine all languish.

@lapoli: it took forever, i had to change needles and put in the freezer repeatedly. i'm saying "never again", but who knows?

@striker293: it's not a secret. it's all photoshop tricks. i use the style because it gives good stitch detail to the finished knits. i'm going to put a tutorial on my blog, a lot of people have been asking lately. i'll send you a PM when it's finished.

@everyone else: thanks for all the compliments <3<3<3 Grin
