I was trying to think of simple craft ideas to make with the kids I work with and I found a load of old pokemon cards so I  decided to turn them into bookmarks. They are so simple and only take a bit of card, glue and about 5 minutes to make.

...and a (slightly blurry) one of the back

These are so cool... I  may just have to do something interesting with my 1000+ pokemon cards. Smiley Are two identical cards used on each bookmark?

ack send me all your pokemon! don't craft with them lol

Sorry about that... the bookmarks are very clever, it just hurt my brain for a sec. We have a pokemon obsessed 10 year old here and it pretty much revolves around the cards in my house!!

Those are so great!  I'm a little boggled by how it's done, but it's ingenious!

Thanks, no I just used an energy card for the back as I have about a million of them. You can use any card for the front and back though.

Lol, I'm Pokemon obsessed too. Most of my cards are staying firmly in my collection but I have a lot of damaged ones, energy cards and loads of common spares so those are the only ones I'm using. I couldn't bring myself to cut up any other ones ever I don't think.

Thanks, I've made a crappy paint drawing to show how I did it.

You start off by drawing three squares then lay your pokemon card sideways across the bottom one and draw around it (pink area) Make the two top squares into triangles and cut it all out (pink and blue areas)
Score along the lines and fold the two triangles inwards, glue your pokemon card to the top triangle and cut off the excess. Glue this onto the bottom part of the bookmark then just glue the 2 triangles together and glue a pokemon card facew down on the back.

I hope that made sense Smiley
