This bowl was born of disaster. I tried to make a woven bowl in March, but when I tried to slump it, there wasn't enough glass and it tore.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to reuse the glass and came up with the happy concept of Sea Flower! Enjoy!

Joby: I've posted my things on a couple of websites, but not even a nibble yet. And I don't live in near a lot of art galleries, so I'll have to look farther afield.

That is amazing looking! I love the silver accent you added in the middle. Did you chop the original torn bowl up into pieces to make this? What a great texture.

Yes, I chopped up the torn bowl and laid the pieces on their new edges. It's very nubbly and the colors in the sun are really glorious! The piece in the middle is a dichroic bit from another disaster.
