LOVE IT! How were the quilts made? they look 3D?
Bec99, I'm sure Averia can explain how she stitched this, but it looks like it's cross stitched over 1 thread on 3 separate pieces of cross stitch fabric and then she tacked them to the clothes line.  The edging on the quilts look like she used the buttonhole stitch as you do in hardanger.  I hope I got that correct........
I just love it and feel so honored that she'd spend so much time stitching this.  It's BEAUTIFUL!

Yep, that's just what i did. The quilts are on 28-count evenweave. I didn't entirely trust the buttonholing - so i went over the outside 4 threads of the fabric with fabric glue and then ironed on some interfacing to the back before doing the buttonholing. The interfacing had the extra bonus of hiding the sloppy backs just in case anyone wanted to flip the quilts up to look.

Thanks for all the comments!

It's raining HOOPLA! chez T!!!

My mail lady was a bit confused when she dropped off the mail today. Whenever we have a package that won't fit in the mailbox, she's nice enough to walk it up to our porch and rings the doorbell. I was waiting by the living room window expecting her. Today, I received 3 envelopes, a pile of regular mail and 2 boxes. It looked like our Christmas deliveries. I greeted her at the door as she walked up with our haul. LOL

Ok, enough chatter, here's my hoops! Smiley

From lukenlarry, a special pink hoop for my daughter E's mini hoopla wall, which very soon won't be so mini. Wink I love the little sequin flowers!

As soon as we get a chance this afternoon, I'll be hanging her hoopla wall in her room. I'll snap a pic of her wall to share with you all when it's up.

From audio, my favorite of all constellations, Orion! Now this is going to sound more than a bit cheesy, but I actually love talking to Orion in the early morning hour as I'm loading my kids in the car as we start another school day. I've done this for years. Now, he's on my wall!

And finally, marleymiss...garden gnome! I love his expression! Smiley

Thank you all for such beautiful hoops! This is my first day of summer vacation and what a way to kick it off! Cheesy

Ok, something weird is going on with Photobucket! I had cropped out the date sig and I have no idea why all of them look squished. They didn't when I edited them.

Well, phooey. BRB, going to go see what is going on. Grrr...

EDIT:...ok, how odd...all I did was resize my photos on PBucket. Don't care! It worked! Cheesy

My DD was super excited to hang up her hoopla when she came home. She even laid claim to the garden gnome that marleymiss made. LOL

Here's her hoopla wall...the weird spacing is her work. Wink

It's really cute that your daughter has her own hoopla wall. Just like mommy!

Sorry it took me an extra day to get pics up, it's a little crazy here since school got out.

Here is my beautiful owl from schnerby.  She used all vintage supplies!  I've always loved this pattern, so I am so glad someone finally made him for me!

After a small snafu with the post office, I finally got my hot little hands on the hoop from Pearliepie.

Isn't it beautiful?  It honors me and my sweetie who have been together just over 11 years.  I love it!!!!  Thank you very much Pearliepie.   The back (not pictured) is finished beautifully as well. And the tree details have many shades of brown.   Kiss
