I thought I'd turn a crap situation into a better one when my little guy decided he hated the Mei Tai carrier I had bought for him & prefered the cruddy stroller; I sold the Mei Tai & bought a second-hand pram for a song but it needed gussying up.




I re-covered all the icky bits with Echino fabric & I love the result so I thought I'd share here in-case anybody was wondering what they could do with an old pram that has seen better days. Smiley

This definitly ROCKS! I have been wanting to revamp my cruddy stroller for a long time. So how did you cover the canopy piece though as I have been thinking about how to do this and havent come up with anything really.

How did you attach all the fabric?   It looks great!   I've been meaning to make a cover for my son's stroller, but we only use it a couple times a year so I havent gotten around to it just yet.

I unscrewed two of the canopy bars from the frame & slipped the original cover off, it still had one piece of plastic boning inside, then I got the fabric I wanted to cover it with & pinned it to the canopy & traced along the boning/piping on the wrong side. I cut it out with a bit of a seam allowance so that I could fold the raw edge under when I sewed it back on to the canopy using a slip stitch.

Hope that helps! (It took ages mind you & I have sore fingers from hand sewing, so keep that in mind lol, but it was worth it I think)
