I made the DEATH from Discworld for my swap-partner in the newbies swap round 15  Smiley

I used white cotton yarn for the "body" and black felt for the robe, crocheted and sewn on a wireframe skeleton.
I glued two white phosphorescent polymer clay spot on black felt for the eyes, and his silver pin on his robe.
His belt is made with silver and brown felt.
The blade, the handle of the scythe and the hourglass are made with polymer clay too.

I glued a small magnet at the bottom of the hourglass and another one on a holder that can be inserted in his right wrist.

I done a support symbolizing the death's domaine ground modeled with silver and white phosphorescent polymer clay and wire. So he can stand up with his scythe and the hourglass!
I didnt use a pattern, just followed my inspiration.
Thanks for looking Smiley

This is CRAZY awesome!  I love everything about it.  And I agree, using magnets was utterly inspired.

He sits on my bedside table and stares at me as I sleep...he's so awesome! Tarmine has some seriously amazing crochet skills, she was an amazing swap partner!

Athena: Today I was beat in a weaving contest by a mortal, so I threw a little bit of a hissy fit at her, so she hung herself...long story short she's a spider and everyone thinks I'm a bitch. FML

I absolutely love him! Is it bad that i recognized him immediately from just the picture? Or does that just speak volumes about your skills? Great job! I think my favorite part is the scythe, but it all comes together amazingly.

Thank you so much for all yours compliments, I'm glad you like him.
I hesitated between the dolls-topic and the amigurumi-topic for this post.
But in my mind, he's an amigurumi from the beginning
I was inspired by this picture :
Now, why not trying to do Rincewind or twoflower ?!? Grin (I keep in mind to do the Nac Mac Feegle posted by Saski and causticmuse)
peace and have a victorious day!

Yes, he's so obviously Death! I love the detail in his expression in particular, and of course all the rest. Really there's no part of this that isn't completely awesome, you have some serious skills!
