Received from wideeyedlife last night for artist's choice.

The shading on her skin is incredible! Thank you!

That is so gorgeous!  I'm going to have to try using my prismacolors on some dark paper.  Too bad I don't have the drawing skill to go along with it to be as good as wideeyedlife. Smiley

I am SO addicted to Prismacolors on dark paper!

And, kwality--your monsters are SO adorable!  I love your drawing skill!

I personally never really studied drawing people--my "real" people drawings are amateur, in my own eyes, but what I do know came from years and years of just doodling cartoons and practicing positioning and such in that way.

My guess is that as you continue drawing your adorable cartoons, your people-drawing skills can improve as you learn about perspective, body-part positioning, and other techniques that will naturally transfer over to a "realistic" style.  Wink  That's what I did, anyways, for what it's worth.   Cheesy

I kind of cheat and draw my monsters in Illustrator before coloring them and cutting them out.  Much easier for me to take out mistakes and change the size of things. Smiley  I work all day long in Illustrator so it just comes naturally for me.   Drawing people...I just don't know about that. Smiley

Well, I can't draw with pencils or Illustrator so you guys have me beat! Cheesy  That's what I love about these ATC trades - you get things you like but can't do for whatever reason (time, ability, never-thought-of-that-itis).
