Oh Dawl an opposum!  I never realized how cute the little ones were.  We've never had one, but when I was a wee one my middle uncle had 2 baby raccoons.  Cute as could be, but eventually very mean little things!  Scratched his eye badly once.

-I give up on making TOL pendants.  If anyone would like to have my stone chips, wire and ect.  I would gladly trade it all for some knitting/crochet stuff.

-Currently crafting.....A Weasley blanket.  I'd love some squares made from fellow Craftsters.

There is a lizard running loose in my house.  Not sure how he got in but it's creeping me out.  I like sugar gliders too!!  I am not so sure about the possum though......
the praying mantis might be neat but I am not so sure about having to grow fruit flies to feed them....
I think I am rather squeamish about weird things!! I hate grasshoppers and live birds but don't mind snakes or spiders.

Ooooh coons are wicked little buggers ! They're fine up to about a year...once they hit puberty all bets are off and you couldn't PAY me to have one ! Vicious little brats !

Opossums are fantastic...they're mellow and happy little critters. Way softer than most people realize Smiley We had one years ago named Hippopossumus, Hippy for short LOL He was great. Kids used to walk him on a harness all over the place. I swore when DH and I got rid of the kids finally we'd have no more pets, nothing to tie us down yanno, but this little guy's face sucked me in fast. Now to name him...one of the DIL's suggest Jasper, and I liked it, but we used to have a cat named Jasper and DH says that name is officially retired...it was the only cat he liked LOL

I used to raise big horn sheep, they all had names like Apollo, Hercules, Artemis, Aphrodite...you get the pattern there right ? Well #5 son begged to name a new sheep baby we got one time and I said ok....he named her LOLLIPOP !! I was like seriously ?? Lollipop ?? So no Lindy, I don't think you are the worst pet namer...my #5 son holds that title LOL This is the kid who also had a pet lizard named Lizzy LOL

What the heck is a sugar glider? I'm trying to decide if I have been deprived of one or not.
What a darling possum, I think.  Undecided

Yes, you have been deprived one!  A sugar glider is a small nocturnal marsupial native to Australia and Indonesia.  They are just precious!  Heres a link to info. about them:

And if you google suger glider images you can see cute pictures of them!

Some friends of ours have an EVIL sugar glider.  I don't know if they didn't handle it enough or what but it bites!!  It's the first one I have ever been in contact with that wasn't friendly.  I would totally get some for the kids and I except the start up for the habitat etc is a luxury I can't currenty justify....

We are moving right along on this home purchase though.  Seems like everything is happening so FAST!  I may be a homeowner by 06/22.  Maybe a new pet would be a good housewarming gift to myself Smiley
