Well, with the exception of his jacket and his sword, I've managed to finish this guy after 4 months total, of either remaining dormant while I did other projects, or working like a slave on him.  My question is...I want to do his sword...but I want to make it look real.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  I was half thinking clay...but it would be too heavy to have him still stand while it's on his back...or I was thinking crochet, but with embroidering the details.. Any other suggestions? Huh

Adorable ^_^.

Hmm... maybe a core of a lightweight material (foam ? thin foam in layers) surrounded by clay. maybe paper mache? Sculpey also has a brand called ultra light - http://www.joann.com/sculpey-ultra-light-polymer-clay-10-3oz/prd1340/. Good luck!
