You can sub any carrier oil but it will change the feel of the scrub based on the properties of the oil. I use fractionated coconut oil because it's not greasy.

I love the idea of these sugar cubes....and want to make some but have an allergic reaction to shea butter...I have noticed that a lot of sugar scrub recipes call for shea butter what is a good substutite (I am really REALLY new to this art of scrub making!)
