ETA: I made the porcupine backpack and just couldn't contain myself, it is so cute. this is for a friend of mine. She chose the fabric, but I just love love love it.

Hi, my name is craftyorange, and I'm a backpack making addict.

So I decided a weekend or two ago that I needed to make some backpacks and now I'm totally hooked! I think they came out awesome and super practical.

Yeah, I totally did all the patchwork by hand. Haha, just kidding! it was the premade stuff.
This one is the first one I ever did. I think it came out pretty awesome.

The pocket on the front. It's lined in a red and brown polka dot, which I think is super sweet. The flap also has this fabric. You can also see the magnetic snap that closes the flap.

The lining. Just plain ol' red.

And the straps n' stuff. You can kind of see my tag on it which I'm in love love love with. I might marry it.

This is backpack number 2, which I mad because the first one came out so well. Well, at least in my opinion.

I love love love this fabric. So sweet.

I ran out of zippers at 2am so I threw a yellow one on there. I love the contrast is gives. It's like a little hidden surprise.

The lining is just plain lavendar/light purple cotton.

The back with straps

One more picture because I love the side view. So round!  Grin

Anyways, I'd love to hear what you think!

Love em! Did you use a pattern? I could really use a good beach bag. Or even one for my apron/tie for work.

These are so cute! I especially love the purple one--that yellow zipper looks great with it even though it doesn't really match Tongue Wisted!

Thanks guys! This is my first time  posting anything I've made on here, so the esteem boost is greatly appreciated!

I don't use a pattern, I just kind of came up with it on my own after looking at a bunch of other backpacks. Sorry! Sad
