I know it's been done a million times, but when I saw this pattern I absolutely had to stitch it up for my awesome aunt.  I think I get my perv genes from her. Wink  I don't have any pics of it unframed unfortunately, so this is the best I could get.  Sorry for the glare!

Detail of her head and...lipstick.

All framed!  I had it done at Michaels during one of their framing sales, and the look on the face of the girl who took my order was freaking fabulous.  She was like, "Is that a..uh..." and I replied, "The pattern called it lipstick.  You know, the really awesome kind."  Fortunately she thought it was hilarious and wrote "girl with "lipstick"" on the description, haha.

Uhmm...notes about the embroidering.  I haven't done a lot, even though my mom taught me how when I was five or so.  The stitches I used were satin, split, back, couching, french knots, and that vine type stitch I can never remember the name of.  Possibly more?  And crayon tinting, obviously.  During the course of this project I learned to properly hide my ends, though they do show through rather horribly around the hair.   Undecided  Oh well, I learned better and I won't do that anymore. Smiley

Oh, and yes, I did alter the original pattern a lil' bit just to make her a bit more realistically shaped and a little less Barbie.

I made this last year and still haven't sent it to my lovely aunt!  Embarrassed  I'm sending it out first thing Monday, I hope.  We're moving this weekend and I decided to take a break from packing and post this as an incentive to myself to get the silly thing in the mail!
