You're welcome! It was the first time I did glass etching and I did four at once so they've all got minor flaws but I'm glad you like it! I have a thing with taking thousands of pictures of everything I do so here's some clearer ones.
It was kind of hard to get a clear picture of the TARDIS 'cause I put stripes on the glass as well.
And yeah, the wing is for the weeping angels. Ryn listed her favourite villains as the Daleks, Cybermen, and Angels so I figured I'd try to do them all.

That glass looks awsome, I have future plans to do a Doctor Who glass set (and a Futurama set too) as soon as I move. and I absolutely LOVE that pouch. Did you just draw the picture on the fabric or is it screen printed on? I always forget how awsome pictures on top of crazy prints looks.
Oh and etched glass pictures turn out better if you stick a black piece of paper in the glass and don't use a flash.
Baloo- Did you use armor etch cream when you tried? Because that's pretty much just like painting on the glass. I'd suggest first buying some glasses at the dollar store, or if you can find thrift store ones that are in really good condition. And personally I've never had much luck with making contact paper sentencils for glass etching, somehow it always gets under the edge. But what I do is print out the picture I want to do and tape it on the inside of the glass and then just use a small paint brush to kind of trace the picture with the etching cream. If you're using a thick glass its kinda hard at first cuz the thickness wonk-ifies the picture so I'd start on a thin glass. And make sure you put on a thick layer of cream and leave it on for longer than the bottle says. And sometimes you just get a bad/old batch of etching cream and it doesn't etch all the way and doesn't come out right. Oh! also try using a picture frame for you begining projects because its flat so its easier to paint on and its easier to see the picture you're etching that way too. Hope that helps, you should definatley give it another go because once you get the hang of it you can make some awsome stuff, and it always impresses people so its good for cheap semi-easy presents.

I got my package today, and it is brilliant! Unfortunately, I can't find the USB cable for my camera at the moment. Photos to follow as soon as possible!

ivoryh1632, thanks for the mini tute! I've been wanting to try glass etching for awhile now. It always scared me but you made it sound easy. Thanks again.

Nearly went mad looking for a USB cable for my digital camera... completely forgot that it stores images on an SD card, which my computer can read. DUR!
And now for some photos of my wonderful loot from dustyfro! I apologize for the quality - I've been really shaky lately, and I don't have a tripod or anything. If you have better photos, dustyfro, please go ahead and post them!
I opened my package to find a TARDIS!
But imagine my shock and horror upon opening the tin - the TARDIS was full of villains! Oh nooooo!
There was even a Dalek, the most terrible of all the Doctor's enemies!
Luckily, dustyfro included some things to help me out of this jam. I have a psychic
paper
needle book
which I used to get the Dalek on my side - it's promised to EXTERMINATE my clumsy sewing injuries.
I also received a sonic seam ripper for when I'm in a really tight spot,
and I have my favourite (new) companion and my favourite alien species to help me hold things together!
I opened the package at work with my with my Whovian boss, and she is quite jealous. Everything is completely brilliant and fantastic and double cool with knobs, I love my time traveller's sewing kit! Thank you so much, dustyfro! It has been awesome swapping with you.
(Oh yes, the Matt Smith note card was also excellent.)

Hello friends! I'm sorry I've been out of the loop here for the last few days. Super long work load and broken computer cable. But the event I was running is over now, and I just got a new cord! Yay! So I'll be doing feedback for everyone who still needs it in the morning.
