I received from craftyzooprgrl yesterday and I was spoiled! I was so giddy and could not stop giggling and jumping with excitement when I saw my little goody. Look at this amazingness. :

A TARDIS note as I opened the box.

It warned me to open the package with caution and have my sonic screwdriver handy. This is what I found.

It's a dalek sewing caddy for my little notions (needles, tailor's chalk, etc) which is something I requested but I had no idea it would be so amazing!!!

Inside were these little friends - pins and a weeping angel needle threader - so clever! All my favorite villains.

Filled with my little sewing things.

I love it! I love it! I love it! Thank you so much Steph!! Amazing!

WOW that is freaking amazing! What did you use to make the parts for the Dalek? and what did you use for the pins? They're so detailed. Everything looks awsome.

Aww thanks, I'm glad you all (and my swap buddy) like her new sewing kit and accessories too! Dana, I hope he didn't give you any trouble when you opened the box Wink

WOW that is freaking amazing! What did you use to make the parts for the Dalek? and what did you use for the pins? They're so detailed. Everything looks awsome.

I got the idea from an upcycling book called "Craftcycle" by Heidi Boyd. She has a pattern for turning a tin can into a sewing caddy/pincushion thing and since my swap partner wanted a sewing tin I just took it to the next level from there. So the body is a small tin can, the Dalek parts and the pins are both polymer clay (I just cooked the clay right onto a pin). The rest is velour fabric and cording. I never made anything like it before so I did two, one to practice on and one to send off. That helped fix the glitches big time!

This is my favorite part of the swap, seeing everyone else's amazing creations! The tiny 11 and his little box plus both amigurumi's are so adorable! So far it's an awesome gallery!

Wow, you have some crazy talent. Everything looks so perfect. Those pins look like you used a mold on them.
