I've finally gotten around to making a few more editions of my Varmint Voodoo line and had great fun stitching these guys up.

The shark's face cracks me up:

I used to have a shark phobia, but am mostly over it so this has a special place in my heart spleen:

All the Varmints have red sequin & bead eyes, so it tickled me to sew them to the end of the snail's eye stalks!

Hopefully surfers and divers will feel safer with the shark and gardeners can sleep well at night knowing the snail is helping protect their crops.

Thanks!  I started with a squirrel a few years ago and have made almost 30 different versions, because they always make me smile (and sometimes cackle)!  In doing them, I've discovered that pretty much any critter will look sinister when given a red, shiny eye.  Wink

Thanks!  I've made all of those!  And ants, mosquitos, fleas, skunks, opossums, beavers, armadillos, bears, ticks, bedbugs, deer, rabbits, moles, gophers, squirrels, raccoons, crow/ravens, seagulls and... probably some others.

Hiya!  I print the images directly on the fabric with an ink jet printer.  I buy the fabric, but I hear you can make it by ironing cotton to freezer paper before running it through the printer.

I've never tried the freezer paper method as I'm not sure it would be any less expensive and if you consider time as well as the materials costs - turns out the freezer paper ain't cheap.  I guess it would be helpful for printing on something other than white, but if you're not... Wink

I so adore your varmints, MistressT. I'm afraid of sharks so that might be my favorite. The snails are the only creatures doing any kind of work in my garden so I'm okay with them Smiley.
