We're moving in less than a week to a new apartment that has single-paned windows and is a bit drafty (o hai, budget apartment) so I'm looking into making curtains.  I'm not so much stuck on what to use, as my googling has turned up plenty of options (though suggestions are welcome!), but rather I'm not too sure on how to make the layers look nice without being bulky.  I've only ever made the simplest of one-layered curtains before, so this is a new one for my skills.  I just know this apartment will swelter in the summer and freeze in the winter, so this is high priority for me!  Can anyone point me to a tut?

Oh, and if it matters I'm pretty confident in my sewing skills, I'm not afraid of advanced tutorials.  I just can't seem to find anything!  I feel like I've been trying alternate search terms half the day.  Roll Eyes
