Howdy!! This is my first post to this community Smiley.  I was browsing crafster last week and came upon http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=370033.0  I thought my boyfriends daughter would enjoy making something like this as she like to get crafty with me.  So Sunday she says..."I feel like make something crafty. Do you want to make something?" I then showed her the link to the cute lilttle monster pencil bags and she LOVED them.  I didn't have any zippers to work with, so we made do with the supplies we had on hand & did a little alternate sort of bag.  We put a little loop so she can put it in her binder for school, (her idea). I didn't get a chance to take a picture of hers, she made a cute little yellow monster girl with a couple of teeth jutting up, a tongue sticking out, two loops for "ponytails" and multi-colored polka dots all over.  I made this purple gal, who I am calling Thelma.  I gave mine to one of my volleyball girls last night at practice, (My boyfriend and I coach his daughters volleyball team). She was pretty excited about it.  I just made a little pattern for the body, freehand cut her rosy cheeks, lips, nose and eyebrows, used felt, googly eyes and velcro for the closure and hand sewed her up.  It was funny when my boyfriends daughter learned that we were going to hand sew, she loses patience when it comes to something taking tooooo long.  She made very big stitches..heehee.  Thanks for looking  Cheesy
