Pretty awesome! My son has some toddler shoes like this.  We actually have a shoe store in town that will cut you custom sole leather for creating your own shoes, so maybe you can find a place to do that, and then sew the leather into the softer uppers?

You are psychic!  I just threw out my house shoes because I could not longer re-vamp them.  I also just opened a box of clothes from my teen years and wished I could think of something to do with a leather jacket I loved!  Whoop!


We actually have a shoe store in town that will cut you custom sole leather for creating your own shoes...

I'm jealous....really.  Do you think they would do mail order?
