I've got four kids, and this year I'm trying to make almost everything that goes into their Easter baskets.  Shocked

One of the things that I did is make them some wooden Easter eggs.

I bought unfinished wooden eggs at Michaels and sanded them smooth. Then I dyed them with food coloring:

(Tutorial here --> http://blog.innerchildcrochet.com/?p=2036)

And finished them with homemade beeswax polish (directions here --> http://blog.innerchildcrochet.com/?p=2067).

I don't really work with wood very much so I was really excited how beautiful they came out!!

These are really pretty. I love how the grain shows through the color.

Please don't look at my blog if you're a current swap partner... You may ruin a surprise Smiley
