Hi everyone!

My first sweater was "Tempting" from Knitty. I made this about two years ago but I finally got around to photographing it. This is mostly a swan song for the sweater since I accidentally threw it in the washer AND dryer so now it's shrunk and felted.

I made it out of Cascade 220 in grey. Goodbye sweater! You were a big hit at the party I wore you to.

I've been thinking about making that one. How is it to make? Too terribly difficult? Sizing seem pretty true to the measurements? I've had a bad experience with a sweater vest I made.

It's lovely and a shame it shrunk.

It was very simple to make since it's just a K2,P2 rib all around. I had to carefully think about joining the sleeves since it's done in one piece. I did the smallest size because I have a larger bust in proportion to my waist (about a 7" difference) and it fits just fine. Because it's a ribbed sweater, there's a LOT of "give".  Cheesy

Cute sweater.  Have you tried any of the unskinking/unfelting tricks.  I haven't tried any myself.  On raverly some posters were talking about using hair conditioner.  Try doing an online search before you give up on this.  It's so cute.

I've got the same problem with getting sweaters to fit too. I've got about a 9" difference between my waist and bust measurements. Cheesy

I hope you can rescue the sweater.

I haven't tried any unfelting tricks. To be honest, I didn't know that it was possible. Further research must be conducted.

It's beautiful! How sad that it got felted Sad. Hopefully one of the unfelting tricks will help, it would be a shame to lose such a great sweater.

Let us know if one of these tricks work.  I wish I could be of more help.  But All I know is that unfelting tricks exist.  I can't give any details on how what degree each one works.
