I was browsing through craftster, like I do almost daily, when I came across this:

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=376167.0

"That's perfect!" I thought to myself.  See, I have to make a few crafts for this pay it forward thing from facebook.  I already did 3 aprons (one of which I kept for myself), but I didn't want to do the same project for everyone and when I saw this, my friend Katie immediately came to mind.  I texted her boyfriend to ask which version of the iphone she had and I ordered a case on ebay.  Then I ordered the jewels from the same site as RCKFELLA http://fullmoon07xxx.ocnk.net/ .  I have to say that I found the site overwhelming, but a good value and I got my stuff relatively quickly.

The girl who I made this for used to work at Disney World and loves everything Disney.

ONTO THE PICTURES!

The case was a translucent pink...the first step was to glitter it up with some Luna nail polish by Zoya (www.zoya.com CHECK THEM OUT, They're my favorite and they run promos all the time!)  It took about three coats to fully cover.

Then I did a coat of a pinkish polish, just to make sure it was opaque

When I turned it over...IT LOOKED LIKE GLITTER VINYL!  I thought about just keeping it like this, but that's boring:

Then comes the sparklebarf

and finally...after a lot of Arlene's glass and bead glue and a ton of patience

Thanks for the inspiration RCKFELLA!  Comments and critiques welcome.

I have plans to do a sorta mod one for myself...I just have to figure out a pattern.

Wow, that's bright. I'd never have any problem finding that in my bag!

Yeah, it's a bit pink for me...but I think it's just the right amount for her.

It's actually a problem for me: the linings of all my handbags are black, my purse is black, my notebook is black, my card holder is black, my phone is navy, my camera case is black. When I chose my purse it was black with lots of silvery bits on it so I could find it, but they all rubbed off Undecided, everything else was a gift, so I feel a bit bad about messing with them.

Pink wouldn't be my first choice, but I can see past the colour to the fantastic design, which I may have to pinch to help me out!

This is some incredible bling! What a fun way to personalize a phone. I'm sure your friend will love it.

And your sparklebarf comments are cracking me up! I'd happily be sparklebarfed on Smiley.
