I didn't complete my 2012 book (truth be told, I never even got started  ), so I'm going to sit 2013 out. If anyone who's participating would like to start a new thread for the new year, please feel free!

rackycoo, I wasn't going to participate this year, either since my sketchbook sat in a pile from the moment I got it (and I signed up on the day sign-ups opened!) until I mailed it to my sister to do with only a week left to go.

But...

This year, the pressure to quick-sign-up-before-the-theme-I-want-is-gone and then the pressure to create according to that theme is gone because of how they've changed the format.

I'm actually thinking of doing a photo log and can get my photos taken before I sign up. Once that's done, I'm more than halfway there. Plus, I'm heading back down to Brooklyn in August for the opening of the 4" X 4"  self-portrait show (my sister did an awesome 3-D felted piece) and I'm hoping I can A) sign up while I'm there and B) hopefully walk away with my sketchbook and C) check out some of the sketchbooks that are not on tour that I didn't see before (Smmarrt, TheMadMel, Phizzychick, plus my own again... because I miss it ).

So, long story ending... maybe the new format would work better for your work pace... maybe

I still haven't seen the sketchbooks (they reach Australia in November). Can't wait! Once I see them I guarantee I will want to sign up again. But, the deadline will be gone. Maybe I'll do some of the smaller projects.

I'll start the thread for the 2013 group. I'm hoping that will keep me on track. I chose "Chapbook" as a theme because it seemed the most random. I still plan to finish 2012 and send it in, even though it won't be traveling.

It took me quite a while to learn how to do that, but it's really pretty easy! If you highlight your words, like "linked here" and click the little icon (above the smileys above) that looks like the world (it's between the picture and the little person in red), you can put the link address after the first "url" if you add an = sign.

In other words, your link should look like this (but with the spaces between the brackets removed):

[ url=(here's where the url address goes) ]linked here[ /url ]

If you do that, you'll end up with this look:

linked here

which will lead to your link. pm me if you have any questions.
