2 things:

1/ I received my first package ~ Thank you kittymom!!  I looooove the squares and will post some photos in the gallery shortly.  Thank you thank you thank you Grin

2/ OMG My wallet just cried!! Think I need some tips on mailing packages to folks in the states!  I literally just spent more than $75 ($75!!!) to send out my packages- 2 to Canada, 3 to the states. WOW!  I had no idea that postage was as crazy as it is! Know what the post master said (after advising me to go over the border to send)??  "Yep, Canada Post makes a killing on every package sent."  Angry  Not cool.

Anyhow~ a bit of a bittersweet moment, I suppose!!  I'm super excited that the packs are out on time & really hope that all of my partners love their squares...  Now to patiently wait to receive...

Holey Moley!! Koreena!!  I can't believe that you were charged that much for sending out light-weight granny squares!!! Shocked
I will certainly cherish the squares you're sending-for all the work it took to make them and then the $$ to send them! So glad that you like the ones you got from me...I was not so sure about adding red to one...but had a wild notion at the time... Wink

Holy crow Koreena!!! How did you have to spend that much?!  I just sent 4 within the US and 1 to Canada and it was under $15.00.  Did you 'mail' them?  I know I got screwed once when I used the word 'ship' and the package ended up going UPS or FedEx or whatever and it was way more expensive.

In other news, mine are all sent!!

I just ran out of time to get to the post office today, but I already let my boss know I will be a little bit late tomorrow to get them in the mail as soon as the post office opens!

Koreena - so sorry about the postage, yikes!!!

Don't feel bad, Koreena, my postage was right there in the same vicinity ($73). Only one of mine went to Canada, too. All the rest were here in the States...

Of course, I did kick myself in the rear by adding extras for everybody, and that made my boxes heavier... Cheesy

Altogether, this little adventure has cost over $100, which is way more than I thought it would be! But, I just got an awesome new job, which more than makes up for what I've spent, and I would gladly do it all over again. Anyone up for Round 2? LOL!

I started making chain mail jewelry in June 2011, and started my own company, Incendia Designs, in August 2011. I also crochet, act, sew (a little) and am enjoying being a newlywed!

I have officially aggravated my tendonitis in my right wrist trying to get these squares all done. I wish I wasn't such a procrastinator. I am going to try and mail what I have ready instead of waiting for me to be completely finished. I'll start with the ladies I have already recieved squares from! Cheesy

Keep PMing me as you recieve & send!
