Great job, IndieCraft!  I have friends that like to crochet, but not many who like putting squares together.   Wink

I'm going to have to make one today just to check my guage and get geared up for the swap start next week... Grin
*getting more GaGa for this one to start!*

Looks spot on:

I'm planning to crochet a black border around mine & try out the join-as-you-go method. Smiley

Completely rainbow obsessed SAHM to 3 & hoping to add #4 to our family this fall!

Have old jeans, pillowcases, or t-shirts? I'll take them! I'm also always looking for the sleeves to women's long sleeved shirts!

The one I did today turned out great!  I'll post a pic later.  It's larger than ones I usually do...maybe 5"?? or so...
I don't know if I want to crochet another round on or not...but I have coffee brown, orange, and a couple of varigated colors if I wanted...=]
*mmmm coffee....*

Just curious, are most of the group planning to do like classic granny squares? I'm totally good with that,  I just don't want to do some weird variation and have everyone else send classics lol

If I get feedback from my first swap in time to sign up for this one, I'd love a variety of crocheted squares.  Heck, I'd even take the knit ones if only for the experience of piecing them into the crazy afghan I want to make!

Great question!  I'm wondering, too!!!  Have been checking out a million different variations of squares (all 7")... Anyone partnered with me: Please let me know what you prefer!

Long before I found Craftster, I did a large granny swap and there were many variations of squares coming in...and in a lot of different sizes...they are in a drawer needing to be fit into a blanket.  It will take quite a bit of work to get them to work together.  Tongue

I'd love to get squares that can easily work into a blanket right away from this swap...not left in a drawer like the ones above! =]

Ohhh Kittymom, those granny squares look awesome!! I need to bulk up my acrylic stash. Maybe I can pull the "I threw out my back & need yarny retail therapy" card on the hubby and maybe he'll let me do a lil yarn shopping today. *ponders*

ETA: What size hooks are y'all using?

I know the feeling. I need to bulk my stash as well.

ATM I'm using an I/9 -5.50MM hook for the classic style square. I had to upgrade to a metal hook after i snapped my plastic ones. Who says crafting isn't hardcore?  Grin
