This will be a great follow-up to the Granny Daughters swap I signed up for.  I'll definitely send in my questionnaire once that swap is cleared!

OH I love this! I made 15 granny squares this past weekend in a stashbusting attempt! Didn't bust anything, lol!
I'll be signing up closer to end the end of signups. I won't have any color preferences because I'm working on a massive Craftster only square afghan for the guest bed, and want to have as many colors as possible. Smiley
Does everyone have color preferences for their squares? or are mostly everyone open for any colors?

HI PixieVal!!! Great to see you on here! So far I think it has been pretty even as far as color choices. Even the ones that have a preference it seems to be pretty broad.

I want to sign up but I'll have to wait for feedback from another swap. I have a book that has 63 different crocheted afghan squares and the gauge does seem to be for them to be 7" squares.

I love the eclectic look. I love the idea of having a few squares from different people who have all put time and care into making something.

To clarify: is this for Granny Squares, specifically, or for any square motif?

I think I want to join this swap. Just a few questions, though...

1.  What pattern do we use for a knitted square? My very limited experience in knitting is that a straight knit stitch will cause your work to roll inside itself. What stitch would I use to prevent that?

2. With swapping both knit and crochet squares, do the stitches line up correctly when trying to sew them together? Or are we going to have a knitters group and a crocheters group?

Did either of those questions make sense?  Grin

From the first post, it looks like this is for crocheted grannies only, not knit ones...
