this is awesome.  I love how creating something can help us to work through our feelings, and in the process learn something about ourselves, and result in something beautiful. I hope everything turns out wonderfully for you! best of luck. Smiley

It's beautiful! I also love the Venus of Willendorf. She's the first thing I remember seeing that was created by our ancient ancestors (I was 4 or 5). I love the technique you used, and I'm so glad you chose to share your story with us *HUG*

This is what art is all about. We work through our own worldview and help others do the same. Thanks for sharing your work and story.  Smiley

Thank you for sharing this. I know the story well, so yours really touched me. Plus, your art is wonderful. Perfect.

This is amazing, very interesting and creative. I remember learning about the Venus of Willendorf in my Art History classes and she has always stuck with me. I'm a fairly new quilter and I love pieces that look pixelated. Thank you for sharing your story behind the piece with us.

*This Rocks*

This is amazingly beautiful. Thank you for sharing something so personal with us! It really made your piece that much more gorgeous. Isn't it funny how we are merely the sum of all our pieces... and that we can never always figure out what all those pieces are?... Well, at least not quickly.) Anyway, I really do love this. It's fragile appearance is so pretty. I like the colour scheme too. I wish you health and good family for your future!

So beautiful!  Both your piece and the story are very moving.  Smiley
I don't think the idea of the prayer shawl is selfish.  There are many, many women who share your struggle.
